Application and service performance management advice
During this engagement APM WorX will evaluate your APM ‘As-Is’ state by means of a maturity evaluation. The effectiveness of the APM implementation will be evaluated against best practices and results recorded from in your own organization. Findings and recommendations will be recorded in a formal document which will be presented to the stake holders. This service could be extended to be repeated periodically.
Application and service performance management architectural roadmaps
During this engagement your APM capabilities and implementation will be evaluated. This will be mapped against desired and required APM capabilities in order to identify gaps. In addition your IT roadmap will be assessed in order to establish anticipated capabilities based on strategic direction as well as disruptive technology changes. Your current ‘As-Is’ state will be evaluated against the anticipated ‘ To-Be’ state in order to identify APM gaps and growth areas. This will ensure APM strategy alignment with company IT strategy hence longevity in APM investment. The architectural roadmap will also evaluate your current APM capabilities against market trends and tool renewal in order to establish the cost/benefit of current capabilities against potential technology refresh costs. The APM architectural roadmap will be presented in a re-usable document to the stake holders.
Application performance management implementation (APM turn-key)
APM WorX can take care of your entire APM implementation from inception to production deployment. This will include roll-out of all monitoring components, the APM core system as well as notification configurations and defined information presentation. This service can be extended into an APM maintenance service contract where APM WorX will provide the maintenance on the tooling and the maintenance of the APM implementation on the target solutions.
Application performance management implementation supervision and advisory services
During this engagement either the Vendor or you as the customer will do the actual implementation where APM WorX will act in a supervisory capacity in order to ensure the quality of the APM implementation as well as the guidance.
Application performance management maintenance
In this case APM WorX will take responsibility for the maintenance of the APM implementation as well as the maintenance of the tooling. This will be done on the basis of agreed measurable service level agreements. APM maintenance is not to be under estimated and it is central to the success of the APM implementation. The proposed service level agreements is the ratio of notified incidents versus un-notified incidents as well as the ratio of false notifications versus real notifications. Both these measurements are quantifiable and exact. Both these measurements are also the key indicators to the organization of APM effectiveness. This should be the primary reason for incurring cost in providing IT service excellence.
Application performance management proof of concept evaluations
APM WorX has extensive experience in ensuring a proof of concept hit the mark. APM WorX can assist as a vendor independent organization in evaluating different products in your environment. History has proven that POC’s has a tendency to go south if not handled with the appropriate insight and caution.
APM organizational adoption
During this engagement APM WorX will assist you in getting APM adopted in your organization. This is a key element in ensuring APM success. Areas of adoption to concentrate on will be management, business, support and development.
Costing
At APM WorX we believe it should be worthwhile for all parties else it is not worth doing. Pricing is determined based on the scope of work which roughly equate to the resource requirements. A primary advantage of APM WorX is both APM knowledge as well skills diversity in the various IT technologies. Roadmap
APM WorX is striving towards a business model where APM WorX represent the customers at the vendors. This would unify the voice of customers at the vendors. One could view this as a more formal ‘user group’. Key product enhancements can be collated and moulded into an implementable product enhancement in an accelerated fashion and not driven by a yearly congregation. By the same token it should be advantages to the vendors as another level of issue filtering is installed. Products with no or little issues should benefit tremendously from this endeavour.
